What makes it magic

Share from anywhere

Camera, gallery, or straight from WhatsApp and GPay with the Android share sheet. PDFs and photos both work.

Honest about what it read

The status line tells the truth: read fully, read partially and asks you to fill the gap, or could not read it with a retry. Nothing saves until you confirm.

Works offline

No signal? The receipt queues on your phone and syncs when you are back. Nothing is lost between the shop and the sky.

Duplicate guard

Same amount, same day? CleanTab asks before saving twice. Your records stay clean without you policing them.

GST, on Pro

GST-registered? On Pro, switch it on and the GST amount is read off each bill and totalled as input credit on your CA pack.

Filed where you can see it

Every photo and a clean CSV row land in your own Google Drive, organised by financial year. Open it in Sheets any time.

The honest footnote: to read a receipt, the image goes to Google's Gemini once, at capture time, and nothing is kept. Prefer not to? Type the amount yourself and no image goes anywhere except your own Drive.

The anatomy of a read

Amount, merchant, category, GST and the printed date, lifted off the paper and dropped into the form. Indian receipts print dates day first; CleanTab reads them that way. A quick crop after every snap keeps the table, your thumb and the neighbouring bills out of the frame. You check, you save, you move on with your day.

And then

Captured expenses flow straight into the Tax Jar's estimate and your CA pack. Nothing to re-enter, nothing to reconcile in March.
